Import leads

Upload CSV or Excel, map columns, and handle duplicates.

Import lives in Settings → Import leads on web. Mobile has a similar wizard under workspace import settings.

Prepare your file

  • CSV or Excel with a header row.
  • At least a name column. Address is strongly recommended for map workflow.
  • UTF-8 encoding. Remove blank rows at the bottom.

Upload and map

  1. Drop the file and confirm the row count.
  2. Map each column to a BetterKnocks field or Skip.
  3. Map custom fields if you created them in settings first.
  4. Continue to preview.

Duplicates

Enable duplicate check on address or phone. For each match choose skip, update, or merge. Preview shows counts before you commit.

Troubleshooting

  • Hitting the 2500 lead cap: upgrade to Pro or delete test leads.
  • Addresses not on the map: verify the address column is mapped with a full street line.
  • All rows skipped: change duplicate handling or turn off duplicate check for a one-time reload.

Mobile import

On mobile you can also import from device contacts. Map fields the same way as CSV import.
