Import leads

Step-by-step: upload CSV, map columns, handle duplicates, and verify leads on the map.

Getting startedContact support

Workspace settings → Import leads. You need manager access to the workspace.

Prepare your file

  • CSV with a header row
  • At least a name column; address strongly recommended
  • UTF-8 encoding; remove blank rows at the bottom

Upload and map

  1. Drop the file; confirm row count looks right.
  2. Map each column to BetterKnocks fields or Skip.
  3. Map custom fields if you created them in settings first.
  4. Continue to preview.

Duplicates

Enable duplicate check on address or phone. Choose skip (keep existing), update (overwrite), or merge per field. Preview lists counts before import.

Troubleshooting

  • Hitting 200 lead cap: upgrade to Pro or delete test leads.
  • Addresses not on map: verify address column mapped; geocoding may need a full street line.
  • All rows skipped as duplicates: change handling or turn off duplicate check for a one-time reload.
